Erling Grimstad is trained and educated as a police officer in white-collar crime and as lawyer. He has more than twentyfive years` experience in combating financial crime (white collar crime) as a financial investigator, Senior Public Prosecutor and as the Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Norwegian Serious Fraud Office (Økokrim) where he prosecuted in several of Norway’s most complex and celebrated complex commercial fraud cases.

As prosecutor he also investigated acts of alleged terrorism and the financing of such acts. He was the leading figure in the establishment of the PricewaterhouseCoopers’ forensic unit in Norway in 1997. Internationally, he has served as a legal expert and investigator for the United Nations in New York (OIOS) and IAEA (OIOS).
