Bjørn Tore Saltvik is trained and educated as a police officer and holds a degree in political science. He has been running his own consulting
firm, working as an advisor
for several organizations and the public sector. During his twenty years with the police force he spent much of his time working in the international arena.
In the period 1989-1993 he was Security Coordinator in the NATO headquarters in Brussels, and from 1995 to 1998 he was attached to the Norwegian Embassy in London as liaison officer for the Nordic countries. From 1999 to 2002 he served as a director and head of security for Gjensidige NOR, one of Norway’s largest banks.
